Adidas recently unveiled its new Boost cushioning technology that will be included in the Crazylight Boost and D Rose 5 Boost basketball shoes set to be released on Sept. 1 and Oct. 23, respectively.
According to Adidas, Boost technology contains thousands of capsules that aid in the absorption and release of energy, which is supposed to make athletes perform more efficiently. In addition to efficiently using energy, Boost technology provides maximum comfort and control.
The Crazylight Boost truly earns its name, weighing in at just 11.6 ounces. The lightweight design allows for peak quickness and is supported by a ShockWeb overlay for optimum performance. The soft mesh upper provides the wearer with the necessary flexibility and breathability.
Numerous colorways of the Crazylight Boost will be made available, including player models for Portland Trailblazers point guard Damian Lillard and Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio. Each colorway features a unique design that is sure to draw attention. The midsole of the Lillard edition is purple with a leopard print and features three red horizontal stripes across the toe.
The D Rose 5 Boost includes an EVA fit-cage for strength and support, as well as Sprintweb technology for breathability. The Boost cushioning extends the full length of the shoe for comfort while executing explosive moves on the court.
All colorways of the D Rose 5 include signature touches that highlight personal details close to Derrick Rose.
