Are you ready for new music from J. Cole? If so, you’re in luck.

An iTunes pre-order page emerged on Thursday (Dec. 1) for what appears to be a new album from the Dreamville MC titled 4 Your Eyez Only, which predictably caused quite the frenzy on social media.

The iTunes page features a tracklist of 10 untitled songs with an expected release date of Dec. 9. Also of note, the album will be released through Cole’s label Dreamville “under exclusive license to Roc Nation.”

The news is especially surprising considering that Cole hasn’t offered the slightest hint of an upcoming album. And in October at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival, he said it would be his last show “for a very long time” as if he was planning on an extended hiatus.

However, it wouldn’t be the first time Cole has opted for the element of surprise. In 2014, he randomly popped up on Twitter to announce the existence of 2014 Forest Hills Drive just a month before its eventual release. It was a gamble that paid off, as the album debuted atop the charts with more than 375,000 equivalent units sold in its first week. (And if you haven’t heard already, the album also went on to earn double platinum certification with no features!)

Fortunately for his fans, the expected release date for 4 Your Eyez Only is sooner rather than later. But for now you can check out the official album artwork below.
