It turns out that justice is a numbers game, and that number is seven as evidenced by the latest trailer for action-packed Western “The Magnificent Seven.”

Director Antoine Fuqua gathered some familiar faces – Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke – for his modern-day take on the 1960 classic of the same name (which itself is a Western version of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai).

The story follows bounty hunter Sam Chisolm (Washington) who is recruited by Emma Cullen (Haley Bennett) to rid the town of Rose Krick from unforgiving industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard). Recognizing that the opposition is too mighty for one man, Chisolm assembles six other misfits with unique skills to join his cause: gambler Josh Farraday (Pratt), sharpshooter Goodnight Robicheaux (Hawke), outlaw Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), assassin Billy Rocks (Byung-hun Lee), Comanche warrior Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier) and tracker Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio).

The film arrives in theaters on Sept. 23, but you can check out the latest trailer below.
