Marvel continues its quest for world domination.

Wednesday, the entertainment studio released the first trailer for its upcoming Netflix series, “Daredevil.”

The show follows attorney Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) who lost his vision as a child. Unable to rely on his eyesight, it strengthened his other senses to superhuman levels. When he moves back back to Hell’s Kitchen, New York to start his own practice, he decides to use his extraordinary abilities as a crime fighting vigilante.

Cox leads a cast that includes Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple. They all made brief appearances in the trailer, which set a dark tone for the series.

The trailer starts with Murdock giving a confession to a priest before ominously stating, “I’m not seeking forgiveness for what I’ve done, father. I’m asking forgiveness for what I’m about to do.”

The show is the first of four that Marvel and Netflix have been working on – Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage have their own original series planned for the near future, which will eventually lead to a “The Defenders” mini-series event that teams the four heroes up with each other. But those interested in the “Daredevil” series will be able to binge watch until their hearts are content when all 13 episodes hit Netflix on April 10.
