It’s been 13 years since the original run of “Samurai Jack” ended, leaving the show’s devoted fans longing for more time-traveling action from the mind of Genndy Tartakovsky.

Now the show is poised for its long-awaited return, and Adult Swim has released the official trailer showcasing a now-ageless and bearded Jack trapped in a dystopian future with no way to the past (Aku has destroyed every time portal).

“Fifty years have passed, but I do not age,” Jack says in the trailer. “Time has lost its effect on me, yet the suffering continues.”

But not only is Jack stranded, he must also deal with a legion of fierce female warriors determined on killing him in the name of Aku, as well as a number of deadly creatures. You know things are out of hand when a highly-skilled samurai must resort to using a machine gun to mow down enemies, as evidenced by the trailer below.

“Samurai Jack” originally aired 52 episodes from 2001 to 2004, earning four Emmy awards for its distinct and stylish animation.

The fifth and final season will feature 10 episodes and premieres on March 11.
