Those tuned in to the Super Bowl Sunday night (Feb. 5) were treated to the first look at Season 2 of “Stranger Things,” the Netflix original series that came out of nowhere last summer to capture the attention of millions of viewers seeking binge-worthy entertainment.
The end of Season 1 left a number of things in the air – such as Eleven’s whereabouts and any info regarding the slug Will coughed up – and the short teaser only provides more intrigue. It looks like the group will have to contend with an even greater threat in the form of a towering new monster that promises to turn the world upside down.
But one thing is for certain, the show will remain true to its love for ’80s popular culture. The teaser begins with a retro “L’Eggo my Eggo” commercial (which is perhaps a callback to the waffles Hopper left in the woods for Eleven) and shows Dustin, Mike and Lucas sporting Ghostbuster costumes.
Season 2 of “Stranger Things” will premiere on Halloween, but you can check out the teaser below.
