For the second installment of The Fader and Sprite’s “Obey Your Thirst” series, Nas steps into the spotlight to share the source of his thirst for success.

The Queens legend discussed his first encounter with hip-hop and gives advice to younger artists in the inspirational short video, which can be seen below.

“There was nothing more important to me, in the whole world, than having a voice,” Nas said. “I wanted to make a big impact on this art form … I wanted to open up a doorway for another generation.”

The documentary series got underway with Drake sharing his story, and will continue with Vince Staples and Isaiah Rashad. The documentaries are also part of a larger campaign from Sprite in which cans will feature notable lyrics from heavyweights such as the aforementioned Nas and Drake, as well as Rakim and the The Notorious B.I.G.
